Understanding Grief talk
Creating Conversations CIC and Waltham Forest NHS Mental Health & Wellness team are running a free Understanding Grief talk at Walthamstow Library, High Street, E177JN on Thursday 9th May from 6.30pm to 8pm.
The talk will provide information about grief and the grieving process to dispel some of the common myths and misconceptions that surround grief. There will be a discussion about the various ways that grief can affect someone, exploring effective coping strategies and how to compassionately support someone who is grieving.
Who might benefit from attending?
- Anyone who has experienced loss and is grieving (anticipated, recent or a long time). A better understanding of grief and how it can affect us can help us make sense of our own experiences. Also learning new and different coping strategies can help navigate the grieving process.
- Staff/practitioners who want to increase their own understanding of grief and how they can support someone who is grieving.
