Reunited in their final days

Last September, an 89-year old woman was admitted to Whipps Cross hospital nearing the end of her long life. A few days later, her husband, who she had been married to for over 60 years, was also admitted as he was also dying.

The hospital staff put them in the same room, beds pushed together so the couple could hold hands during their last few days together.
