The British Medical Association has announced junior doctors will strike 7am on Wednesday 20 December to 7am on Saturday 23 December 2023 and 7am on Wednesday 3 January to 7am on Tuesday 9 January 2024.

Last Winter, nearly 80,000 people didn’t attend their hospital appointment at one of Barts Health’s five hospitals which includes Whipps Cross Hospital. This can cause people to wait longer for their own appointments and the NHS estimates that every missed appointment costs £30.
